𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
Time is a weird thing.
It passes ever-so-quickly.
It’s a thief in the night.
Yet somehow it stands still.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
It never stops, but it feels like there’s never enough.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
In the blink of an eye …
You’re older.
Babies have grown leaps and bounds.
Loved ones have passed on.
That loss you thought you could never heal from feels light years away.
That silly grudge you harbored is suddenly a distant memory.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
One thing I’ve learned about time and loss through losing my biological father at a young age and my unborn child is to treasure it.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
We don’t always make the most of it.
We don’t always know how to prioritize it.
But it’s there.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
Today I’m reminded that we are never guaranteed more time.
So, we should make the most of the time we do have.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
Take the picture (for some of us, that’s all we have left when memories start to fade).
Send the note.
Tell your people you love them.
Say YES to the embarrassing grand gesture and slow dance with your spouse. Even in public.
Store those beautiful and mundane memories away in your heart.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆.
I don’t want to waste any more time trying to be someone I’m not — time is just too precious.
𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 — it’s a gift from God. Let’s use it wisely and try not to wish it away.
